The February 2018 City Council Meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.

1. Call to order

• Pledge of Allegiance
• Mayor’s Introductions of Guests and Announcements
• Motion to Adopt Final Agenda as Distributed.

3. Motions
   • Motions to add Liz Ordiales & Bonnie Kendrick to all bank accounts for signature and remove Cenyla Galloway
   • Motion to approve the October & November Financials
   • Motion to approve December 2017 & January 2018 minutes
   • Motion to approve the Contract with UGA-Carl Vinson Institute for ARC Grant work
   • Motion to approve first reading of the Motel-Hotel Ordinance
   • Motion to approve the Ethics Resolution to become a City of Ethics
   • Motion to approve the first reading for the Franchise Fee ordinance
   • Motion to approve the Air Med Contract for City residences

HIAWASSEE CITY COUNCIL-SEWER PROJECT HEARING  MINUTES
February 6^th, 2018

Call to order 6:00 by Liz Ordiales

Invocation was delivered by Nancy Noblet, Pledge of allegiance followed.

Mayor’s Introduced 2 YHC students working on Senior Projects (Emily and Matthew).

Mayor reported that Temporary Electric Pole @ Mayor’s Park would cost $975 also verified attendance at the YHC Lunch in order to avoid a quorum of the council.  3 member will be in Athens for Newly elected official training so Kris Berrong and Liz Ordiales will represent the City.

All Motions for the items below were approved unanimously.  Please see attached form.

1. Motions
   • Add Liz Ordiales & Bonnie Kendrick to all bank accounts for signature and remove Cenyla Galloway
   • Approve the October & November Financials
   • Approve the Contract with UGA-Carl Vinson Institute for ARC Grant work
   • Approve first reading of the Motel-Hotel Ordinance
   • Approve the Ethics Resolution to become a City of Ethics
   • Approve the first reading for the Franchise Fee ordinance – Discussion was held regarding the need to hold a 2^nd public hearing, the council decided it was not needed but an advertisement would be place in the paper announcing the changes.
   • Approve the Air Med Contract for City residences

The Motion to approve December 2017 & January 2018 minutes was removed and will be addressed at the March City Council meeting as the new Council member had not received the minutes.

1.8       Motion to Adjourn from Council Meeting and begin Public Hearing on Sewer enhancements.

Don Baker, EMI President reviewed all work to be done for this project as described in the handout.  There were picture of Lift Station to be re-done, new force main under the bridge and equipment to be rehabilitated at the sewer plant.
