REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)

ACCOUNTING SERVICES
The City of Hiawassee is seeking the professional services of a Certified Public Accountant firm/individual for accounting services. The contract will be for three consecutive fiscal years commencing with the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2022, and concluding with the fiscal year ended June 30, 2025, subject to annual review. The bookkeeping shall be conducted in accordance with The Governmental Accounting Standards Board standards that follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Basic requirements include but are not limited to biweekly payroll processing (including all quarterly and annual filings), monthly bank reconciliation (15 accounts) review and reclassification of transactions, accruals and adjusting entries, monthly financial statements, annual entry of budget into QuickBooks for all funds, preparation for annual audits and assistance with cross-fund expenses.
Interested firms/individuals are encouraged to contact the City of Hiawassee (City Hall - address listed below) by June 1, 2022 @ 2:00 p.m. to submit a Notification of Interest. Requirements will be sent promptly by e-mail to firms/individuals responding to this request or a complete package may be obtained in person at Hiawassee City Hall. Notice of interest is due by 2:00 p.m. EST on June 1, 2022, at Hiawassee City Hall.
