HIAWASSEE CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES

November 6th, 2018

The November2018City CouncilMeeting was called to orderat 6:00 p.m. at City Hall by Mayor Liz Ordiales.  Present were Council Members Patsy Owens, Nancy Noblet, Amy Barrett, Kris Berrong, and Anne Mitchell.  Also present was City Clerk Bonnie Kendrick.

Council MemberAmy Barrett gave the invocation which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Motion to adopt final agenda as distributed was made by Anne Mitchell, seconded by Amy Barrett with all council in favor.

In old business, Halloween was a great success with an estimate of over 700 children participating.  There was discussion about what went well, what changes might be considered for next year.  Overall, most people seem to appreciate being a bit further away from Main Street.

There was no new business.

Motion to approve consent agenda consisting of: Minutes from October 3rd City Council Minutes, October 29th Budget Adoption minutes, October 29th Work Session Minutes, and the AugustFinancials was made by Council Member Kris Berrong, seconded by Council Member Nancy Noblet with all in favor.

The motion to approve the 2nd reading of the ordinance for Municode Digital Listingwas made by Council Member Anne Mitchell, seconded by Council Member Kris Berrong with all council in favor.

Motion to approve the Air Med Care annual Contract for $4,900was made by Council Member Nancy Noblet, seconded by Council Member Patsy Owens with all council in favor.  There was brief discussion and Council Member Anne Mitchell asked if there were any statistics on how many people actually had used the service.  Mayor Ordiales will contact Air Med Care and get that information for the council.

Motion to approve the 2019 Holiday Schedule was made by Council Member Patsy Owens, seconded by Council MemberAnne Mitchell with all council in favor.

Motion to approve a 45 day moratorium on Sign Permits was made by Council Member Anne Mitchell, seconded by Council Member Amy Barrett, with all council in favor.

There was no executive session.

Motion to Adjourn was make by Council Member Kris Berrong, seconded by Council Member Nancy Noblet, with all council in favor.  Meeting adjourned at 6:12pm.
