Present in addition to Mayor Pro Tem Anne Mitchell was Council members Amy Barrett, Nancy Noblet and Patsy Owens.  Absent were Mayor Liz Ordiales and Council member Kris Berrong.

The invocation was given by Amy Barrett and was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Mayor Pro Tem Anne Mitchell welcomed everyone and thanked them for attending.  She also informed the Council and guests that the Mayor was absent as she had to attend a funeral.

Mayor Pro Tem Mitchell turned the floor over to City Clerk Bonnie Kendrick to present the purchase of the copy machines for City Hall.  City Clerk Kendrick advised the Council regarding the age of the printers and copiers being used at City Hall currently and the issues with them. She also provided the Council with the process by which the vendors provided quotes for essentially similar machines.  She explained the basis by which she and the Mayor suggest engaging our current vendor, Duplicating Products, to purchase the copiers.  Initial cost was a deciding factor as well as the proximity to the Company’s repair technician residing in Young Harris and his exceptional response time for service.

Motion to approve the purchase of the copy machines was made by Council member Nancy Noblet, seconded by Council member Amy Barrett, with all present in favor.

Mayor Pro Tem Mitchell then turned the floor over to Council member Nancy Noblet to discuss gathering for a Christmas Dinner.  Council member Noblet suggested to the Council that she would like the Mayor, Council and City Clerk to gather to celebrate Christmas together.  After a brief discussion, the Council decided to meet at Sundance Grill on Wednesday, December 19th at 6:00.  The motion to approve the gathering was made by Council member Amy Barrett, seconded by Patsy Owens, with all present in favor.
