HIAWASSEE CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 
July 9, 2019

The July 2019 City Council Meeting was called to order on July 9^th, 2019 at 6:00 p.m.in City Hall Council Chambers by Mayor Pro Tem Anne Mitchell.

Present in addition to the Mayor Pro Tem were Council members Patsy Owens, Nancy Noblet, Amy Barrett, and Kris Berrong.  Staff present was City Clerk Bonnie Kendrick.

Councilmember Amy Barrett delivered the invocation which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. 

In the Mayor’s announcements, Councilmember Amy Barrett and Mayor Pro Tem Anne Mitchell announced that Joan Crothers threw her hip out again.  She is ok and has resumed activities.  The Moonshine Cruiz-In is this weekend and Thursday from 11:30 – 1 pm on the cars will be on the Square for a lunch event. There will be a selection of vendors to purchase lunch and dessert and the Boy Scouts will be selling water and other drinks.

The motion to adopt the amended agenda (to change “the Resolution to move personnel ordinance to resolution” to be “the Ordinance to move personnel ordinance to resolution” was made by Councilmember Patsy Owens, seconded by Councilmember Amy Barrett, with all in favor. 

There was no old business.

There was no new business.

The Motion to Approve Consent Agenda, which consisted of the May 7^thCity Council Meeting minutes, the May 22^ndSpecial Called Meeting minutes, the June 4^thCity Council Meeting minutes, and the June 24th Work Session Minutes, was made by Councilmember Nancy Noblet, seconded by Councilmember Amy Barrett with all in favor.

The motion to approve the second reading and adoption of the Broadband Ready Ordinance was made by Councilmember Amy Barrett, seconded by Councilmember Kris Berrong with all in favor.

The motion to approve the second reading and adoption of the ordinance to move personnel ordinance to resolution was made by Councilmember Nancy Noblet, seconded by Councilmember Amy Barrett with all in favor.

There was no Executive Session.

The motion to adjourn was made by Councilmember Nancy Noblet, seconded by Councilmember Kris Berrong with all in favor. The meeting was adjourned at 6:08 pm
