HIAWASSEE CITY COUNCIL MINUTES

The December 3^rd, 2019 City Council Meeting was called to order by Mayor Liz Ordiales at 6:00 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall.

Present in addition to the Mayor were Council Members Anne Mitchell, Kris Berrong, Amy Barrett, Nancy Noblet, and Patsy Owens.  Staff present were Billing Clerk Marta Izquierdo and City Clerk Bonnie Kendrick.

The invocation was given by Nancy Noblet and was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Mayor Liz introduced guest Joan Crothers – official Queen of the Square and made the announced that there will be no Council Work Session in December – Next meeting will be January 7^th, 2020.

A motion was made to amend the agenda to modify Item 4.2 to read “Ratify and approval of the purchase of the Paris Main Street Building for $99,000.00”. Motion to adopt the final agenda as modified was made by Council Member Nancy Noblet seconded by Councilmember Anne Mitchell with all in favor.

There was no old or new business.

Motion to approve the Consent Agenda which includes the September financials, and the minutes of the November 5th City Council meeting and the November 25^th Work Session was made by Councilmember Amy Barrett seconded by Councilmember Kris Berrong with all in favor.

Motion to ratify and approval of the purchase of the Paris Main Street Building for $99,000.00 was made by Councilmember Anne Mitchell seconded by Councilmember Kris Berrong with all in favor.

Motion to approve the Georgia Mural Trail contract ($3000.00) 00 was made by Councilmember Patsy Owens seconded by Councilmember Anne Mitchell with all in favor.

Motion to approve the resolution to extend the time for the WTP GEFA loan (DW2015030) 00 was made by Councilmember Nancy Noblet seconded by Councilmember Kris Berrong with all in favor.

Motion to approve the following Alcohol licenses:

was made by Councilmember Amy Barrett seconded by Councilmember Anne Mitchell with all in favor.

There was no need for an executive session.

Motion to adjourn was made by Councilmember Amy Barrett seconded by Council member Anne Mitchell with all in favor.  Meeting adjourned at 6:10 pm
