HIAWASSEE CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL CALLED MEETING MINUTES
The City of Hiawassee Special Called meeting of the City Council was called to order at 6:01 PM on March 23rd, 2022, in the Council Chambers by Mayor Liz Ordiales. The meeting was open to the public.
Present in addition to the Mayor were Council members Amy Barrett, Anne Mitchell, Nancy Noblet, and Patsy Owens. Councilmember Jay Chastain was absent. Staff present was City Clerk Bonnie Kendrick. There were no attendees.
The Invocation was given by Councilmember Anne Mitchell and was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion to approve the agenda as distributed was made by Councilmember Amy Barrett, seconded by Councilmember Nancy Noblet with all present in favor.
Motion to approve the Second Reading of the amendment to the Alcohol Ordinance 2020-09-01 (to include tax on distilled spirits) was made by Councilmember Patsy Owens, seconded by Councilmember Anne Mitchell with all present in favor.
There was no need for executive session.
Motion to adjourn was made by Councilmember Amy Barrett, seconded by Councilmember Nancy Noblet with all present in favor. Meeting adjourned at 6:02pm.
