Hiawassee Building and Planning Committee Meeting

The City of Hiawassee Building and Planning Committee will hold a meeting on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at the Towns County Civic Center located at 67 Lakeview Circle.  The purpose of the meeting is to discuss and vote on a variance request for the Common at Lake Chatuge (formerly called the Overlook at Lake Chatuge), a proposed private housing development located at 200 US Highway 76 East.

The public hearing for this matter was held on September 7, 2023, and no further public comment will be heard at this meeting.

The allowable capacity for the Civic Center is 145 people, according to the Fire Marshall.
