The Mayor of Hiawassee has issued an Emergency Declaration

Effective 3-24-2020 at 4PM.  The full declaration is available

Here are the highlights of the declaration: 

1. No Public gatherings of more than 10 people on any property
owned or controlled by the City
 
2. The City shall have the authority to conduct meetings & take votes
via teleconferencing in accordance with OCGA Sec 50-14-1(g)
 
3. The City will not disconnect utility service due to non-payment
4. Restaurants will be limited to Delivery, Drive-thru, or take out only.
No dine-in service will be available IF the restaurant is licensed to 
sell beer and wine, they may sell unopened bottles or cans of beer 
or wine for take-out consumption.

5. Keep a personal distance of 6 feet from all other establishments 
 
6. There is no curfew currently, but the Mayor reserves the right
to impose a curfew at a future time.
