2. Motion to approve the purchase of 2018 Ford Transit 13-passenger van cost $26,000 of which $11,000 will be paid by the City remainder from DDA

City of Hiawassee Special Called Meeting of December 31, 2025, Minutes
The Hiawassee City Council Special-Called meeting was called to order at 12.00 pm on December 31, 2025, in Council Chambers by Mayor Jay Chastain, Jr. The meeting was open to the public.
Present in addition to the Mayor, were Council members Patsy Owens, Scott Benton, Jonathan Wilson and Amy Barrett. Staff present were City Clerk Bonnie Kendrick and Deputy City Clerk Sheryl Branson.
The Invocation was given by Mayor Jay Chastain, Jr. and was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion to approve the agenda of the Special Called Meeting as distributed was made by Council member Amy Barrett, seconded by Council member Jonathan Wilson with all present in favor.
Motion to approve of the purchase of the 2018 Ford 13 Person Passenger van for 26,000.00, with the city paying 11,00.00 and the DDA paying the remaining amount., was made by Council member, Amy Barrett, seconded by Council member Scott Benton with all present in favor.
Motion to approve the lease of the van between the city and the DDA was made by Council member Patsy Owens and seconded by Council member Jonathan Wilson, with a present in favor.
Motion to adjourn the Special Called Meeting was made by Council member Amy Barrett, seconded by Council member Jonathan Wilson with all present in favor.
The meeting ended at 12:01 pm.
