Hiawassee Downtown Development Authority November 11, 2020 Minutes
Present: Steve Harper, Alec Therrel, Tamela Cooper, Rob Sollie, Liz Ordiales and Margaret Oliver. Lindie Wright (dialed into the meeting)

The November 11, 2020, Downtown Development Authority (DDA) meeting was called to order at 8:30 AM by Co-Chairperson Tamela Cooper.
A motion to adopt the final minutes for the October 14, 2020 meeting was made by Steve Harper, seconded by Rob Sollie, motion carried unanimously.
Treasurer’s report – Denise McKay reported the Downtown Development Authority has a balance of $16,708.17. The fourth “1st Friday” vendor income was $350.00. The donation boxes at Mayor’s Park had an income of $7.00.
Denise McKay gave Directors Update – Windstream will have a ribbon-cutting on November 12, 2020, at 11:00 AM at the Town Square in Hiawassee and at 12:00 PM at the Mayor’s Park in Young Harris.
The Mural dedication will be on November 13, 2020, at 1:00 PM.
The DDA will contact the Chamber of Commerce to advise the “Fishing Tournaments” for donations.
The different vendors for the board insurance have been contacted but have not responded with any quotes yet.
The Rural Zone training will be held on November 17, 2020, from 9:00 AM through 12:30 PM in the conference room in City Hall. Two investors will be joining the training. A brochure will be available with a barcode that will take you to the Tax Credits that are available for the City of Hiawassee.
