The City Of Hiawassee does hereby announce that the millage rate will be set at a meeting to be
held at City Hall on 9-23-19 at 6 PM and pursuant to the requirements of O.C.G.A. Section
48-5-32 does hereby publish the following presentation of the current year's tax digest and levy, along with the digest and levy for the past five years.

On Monday August 26, 2019 at 5:30pm there will be a special meeting (meet and greet) with the members of the newly formed Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and the City Council of Hiawassee in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
Refreshments will be served.
At 6pm, the DDA will be presented with their information packages and date of first official regular meeting, Monday September 16, 2019 at 6PM at Hiawassee City Hall.

Bids will be received at City Hall, 50 River St, Hiawassee, GA 30546 until 2:00 p.m. on August 16th, 2019. Any bid received after said time and date of bid opening will not be considered. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at this time and location. All bids will be evaluated, and the sale will be awarded, if it is awarded, within five (5)days of the bid opening. If a bidder is not selected within five(5)days of the bid opening, any bidder that is determined by the City to be unlikely of being selected shall be released from their bid.
All items are sold as-is, without warranty of any kind. No expectation at all in regard to quality, fitness, or value.
The public may view these items between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm Tuesday, August 13, 2019 – Thursday, August 15, 2019, and Friday, August 16, 2019, 8:30 am – 2:00 pm at City Hall 50 River St, Hiawassee, Georgia.

Each bid must be submitted in a SEALED ENVELOPE, addressed to the OWNER. Each sealed envelope containing a Bid must be plainly marked on the outside as,"Item #, Bid Date: August 16, 2019, City of Hiawassee, Georgia". Any Bid not so marked will not be considered. If bid is forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the Bid must be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope to the attention of the OWNER a the address previously given.
Any and all Bids received without the aforementioned qualification criteria enclosed, will not be considered.
OWNER reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids, to evaluate bids, and to accept any Bid which in its opinion may be in the best interest of the OWNER.
No BIDDER may withdraw his bid within the time limit specified.
Payment must be made in cash or by cashier’s check within 10 business days of the bid award. Removal from the premises of bid item(s) must be made within 5 days of payment unless other arrangement has been made in advance.
